This peach lemonade is sweet and refreshing. It’s all that you need on a warm day to stay cool. While you can make it from scratch, I prefer the semi-homemade route on this one. Start with a good store-bought lemonade then use fresh peaches to make a fresh peach puree. Set off the lemonade with fresh lemon in a very stylish canister and you are all set.
Peach Puree
4 peaches, cleaned, pitted and quartered
1 cup of sugar (adjust to your tastes)
1 cup of water
To make, bring ingredients to a low boil. Reduce temperature. Once cool, strain into decanter or pitcher. Add juice of two lemons. Stir. Then top with lemonade. Garnish with sliced lemon. Chill and serve cold.
Variations
Strawberries are a great alternative in the spring and summer for peaches. You will need two pints of strawberries to make the puree. Cut the stems off the berries then cut them in half and cook gently with sugar and water. Strain puree twice to remove most of the seeds.
For the adults
Our lemonade pair perfectly with flavored vodka such as Ciroc Peach or with Jack Daniels for a Peach Lynchburg Lemonade. Please let us know how you like the lemonade. Check here for more drink ideas!
